Youth Ministry at Beacon Baptist Church ranges from four year olds all the way through to high school. The three big areas of youth ministry are described below. Children's Church 4's and 5's Beacon's Kindergarten program takes place during the 11:00am morning worship service. Children ages 4 and 5 meet in a Sunday School typesetting to have fun while learning about God's Word. The teachers rotate on a once per month schedule, making for a great variety of fun and activities. A typical class consists of a Bible story, memory verse, color/worksheet, snack, singing, crafts, prizes, games and much more. A bus is available for transportation if needed. Junior Church Beacon's Junior church takes place during the 11:00am morning worship service. First through sixth graders attend a church service taught by Danny Hester. Junior church is unique because many of the functions of the service are done by the children, including instrument playing and ushering. A fun time is had by all while they learn about the Bible and prepare themselves for future participation in the adult worship services. A bus is available for transportation if needed. Youth Group Beacon's youth group is for teens in 7th - 12th grade. They participate in many of the church ministries including: music ministry, AWANA, and Vacation Bible School. One of the highlights of the year is a weeklong Youth Conference that in previous years has been held in North Carolina. In addition, the teenagers have their own visitation ministry every Saturday at 10:00am. They meet and go visiting in neighborhoods around Jupiter to invite people to Beacon. At 11:30am they go out for lunch and fellowship, with other activities sometimes following. Young people at Beacon also have their own choir and orchestra. Throughout the year there are many other youth activities, including pizza parties, amusement park trips, and more. |
